3 NXT Superstars Who Should’ve Been Drafted

Just like transfers and player auctions in other sporting events, the WWE draft is a time in which fans are excited about which brands their favorite wrestlers move on to. Along with superstars of Raw and Smackdown switching brands, NXT has also become a part of this year’s draft since the brand underwent a revamp into a developmental territory again. We have seen the likes of Hit Row, Austin Theory, Aliyah, Xia Li and Ridge Holland getting called up to the big league but there are other superstars who were better options to get drafted to the main roster than them. Here I am going to list the top 3 of them.

𝟏) 𝐈𝐨 𝐒𝐡𝐢𝐫𝐚𝐢

A 14 year veteran in the field, she has already etched her name in the history books of professional wrestling as one of the best ever to step foot in the squared circle. In Japan, she’s won it all and got nothing left to prove. She signed with WWE 3 years ago and now has done everything she can do for the NXT brand, including a 304 day title reign with consistent bangers. Since NXT got revamped and started back from square 1, it’s high time she gets moved to the main roster. If given the same treatment like the 4 Horsewomen, she’s easily money.

𝟐) 𝐋𝐀 𝐊𝐧𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭

A 19 year veteran, famous for his work in TNA/Impact Wrestling as Eli Drake. He’s good in ring and is one of the best mic talkers in the business (probably the best in WWE along with Samoa Joe who can easily own anyone with the mic). He’s a proven performer! So why does he have to stay in a developmental brand when he has got bigger platforms to showcase his talent? If utilized well, this man is a megastar.

𝟑) 𝐃𝐚𝐤𝐨𝐭𝐚 𝐊𝐚𝐢

In the first impression, most of us wouldn’t expect her to be a championship material. But through that heel turn and its follow up run, she proved that she’s a person who can swim in the ocean. I feel NXT owes her a title run but also she’s ready for the big league. She’s not a “straight to the gold” option, but she can be gradually built up for it. She’s better in the ring than many out there.
